No, I don't really. I'm one of those people who has trouble sleeping and I often stay up till three or four o''clock in the morning even though I have to get up for work at six.
2. Do you often dream?
Umm...let me see, yes. I normally have at least one nightmare when I was a child, and even though I don't remember it, it's very likely that my parents have woken up to find me in tears and kicking them. I tend not to dream so much as I get older, although I still have some vivid dreams when I'm tired after work. I would probably dream more if I could get to sleep.
Part 2
Describe a dream that you had once.
You should say:
When you had it
Who else was there
What happened
And explain how you felt about it
Model answer:
OK, in general I don't dream very often, but every now and then I can remember little bits of my dreams when I wake up, and one that I remember quite vividly was something I dreamt of about a year ago.
I was sitting at home when the phone rang. It was an old friend who had moved overseas. She asked if I could come over to the airport to pick her up, in this dream, because she was going to be in the city for a week. I arrived at the airport, picked her up and drove her home. We went out and got some food, then we went shopping. In the dream I had a great sense of freedom that was not something you might feel in real life. It was strange, but I was not bothered about paying for food or goods. It was almost like living in another world. When we came back and before she left my house, she asked me if I wanted to travel with her to Europe.
I agreed immediately. We then went to the airport, and got on a plane. We had a great flight for a few hours, and I also enjoyed talking and hanging out with her as if it was a real friend. However, it started to change. It got really dark and cloudy and soon the plane started to go faster and faster and the turbulence got much rougher and I felt really worried but there was nothing I could do. I tried to talk to her but she didn't notice me and was really enjoying it.
At this point, I woke up completely panicked and sweating and was so scared that I didn't fall asleep for another hour.
